Activision to do more Transformers

Written by David Stellmack

Based on animated TV show for Wii/DS/3DS

Activision has now confirmed that a new Transformers game is indeed in the pipeline. This time, however, the game will be based upon the animated TV show produced by Hasbro.

Players will be able to play as the Autobots in an adventure to save earth from Megatron and the Decepticons. The game will allow players to sample playing a number of Autobots, including Optimus Prime, Arcee, Ratchet, Bulkhead, and (of course) Bumblebee. Players will be able to control these Autobots in both driving and fighting sequences.

While no official release date was announced, it is expected to be released later this year on the Wii, 3DS and DS. No plans for Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, or PlayStation Vita were announced. It is unknown at this time if plans for a Wii U version exist, but our sources tell us that they would not be surprised if Wii U version was released, as well.
