Sony pulls Vita Facebook App

by on27 February 2012

Complaints that the App is buggy

Sony has apparently removed the just-released Facebook app for the PlayStation Vita from the store after receiving multiple complaints from users that the app crashed on startup, and some apparently just received an error code at startup with the only option to close the application.

Sony is only confirming that the App has been pulled and they are looking into the matter, and hopefully, they are able to resolve the issue so that the app can be returned to operational status. All of this double talk means that currently they don’t know what the problem is, and they don’t have a clue how long it might take to resolve it.

Some are theorizing that the issue is on the Facebook server side and may not actually be an issue with the Vita Facebook App itself. Sony is said to have engaged Facebook to help in finding a resolution to the issue.
