Gearbox confirms Borderlands 2

Written by David Stellmack

September 21st is the release date

The Borderlands sequel that everyone is waiting for has been confirmed for a September 21st release, according to 2K Games and developer, Gearbox Software. It will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. No other platforms are confirmed at this time.

Those that pre-order Borderlands from participating retailers will get access to the Borderlands 2 Premier Club; this will allow players to download the Gearbox Gun Pack, a Golden Key, and the Vault Hunter’s Relic.

According to Gearbox head Randy Pitchford, Borderlands 2 is packed full of improvements and all new innovative experiences. Pitchford claims that it is everything a sequel should be, and it improves upon all of the good stuff from the first Borderlands game.
