by on17 January 2012

New story content to arrive on February 1st

Deep Silver has confirmed that Techland will be delivering another round of DLC content for Dead Island. The new “story” content is slated to arrive for all three platforms on February 1st.

The new story allows the player to play as Ryder White, one of the protagonists of the main story. The new content promises to tie up some loose ends and put some things in perspective. In addition, many of the whys and hows are said to be answered from White’s point of view in this DLC pack. In addition, the DLC package features two new blueprints and weapons.

When it arrives on February 1st it will cost players 800 Microsoft Points, or $10 on PSN or Steam. Sources tell is that this is likely the last of the DLC content that we will see for Dead Island; Techland is apparently focusing its resources on the sequel, which might arrive late this year, but Deep Silver has yet to confirm this is the case.
