AMD rolls out Catalyst 11.11 driver

Support for Flash 11 and couple of fixes


AMD has rolled out Catalyst 11.11 and he new driver supports all the graphics cards since Radeon HD 2900 series, couple of FireStream GPUs and AMD chipsets since Radeon 3000 series.

The new  driver pack includes AMD display driver version 8.911, Hydravision for Windows XP, Vista and 7, Southbridge/IXP driver and AMD's Catalyst Control Center/AMD Vision Engine Control Center version 8.911. As far as the new features are concerned, the new Catalyst 11.11 driver brings Adobe Flash Player 11 support with enabled full support of the GPU accelerated Stage 3D API and Stage 3D applications with support for AMD Radeon HD Series of GPUs, as well as A-Series and E-Series APUs.

The resolved issues part of the release notes include fixed issue of corrupted images and textures in Rage, correct bezel compensation for Far Cry 2, fixed screen tearing while moving a window on the desktop in Clone or Eyefinity mode, fixed black screen issue when extending displays, fixed random crashing of Homefront when Crossfire is enabled, fixed DC - Universe Online title crash problems.
