THQ to offer season pass for Saints Row 3

Written by David Stellmack

Save 15% off the upcoming mission packs

The popularity of publishers experimenting with the DLC season pass concept has now spread to THQ, who will be trying it with its release of Saints Row 3: The Third. The Season Pass for Saints Row: The Third will allow buyers to save 15% off the regular retail price of the three upcoming mission packs and the Nyte Blayde mission pack versus purchasing them separately.

The Nyte Blayde mission pack will be coming right away, while Genkibowl VII is scheduled for January 2012 and they will be followed by Trouble with the Clones, which is slated to drop in spring 2012, and finally, the release of Gangstas in Space expected in the winter of 2012.

It is still a mystery how much the season pass will cost, as THQ says that the price will not be announced till just before the release of the game. They did offer, however, that PC players who pre-order the PC version of Saints Row: The Third will get the season pass for free as a pre-order bonus. If you are going to buy it on PC, it will be worth it to pre-order if you want the DLC content.
