Anniversary MP Halo maps to arrive for Reach

Written by David Stellmack

Still can play the maps if you don’t buy the re-make

Microsoft and Halo care taker 343 have announced that next week the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary revamped multiplayer maps will be released for Halo Reach. The six maps and the included Firefight scenario will be made available for 1,200 Microsoft Points as a bundle for Halo Reach.

So, if you don’t want to purchase the entire Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition HD re-make, you can get just the six maps. The maps will include Battle Canyon, Breakneck, High Noon, Penance, Ridgeline, Solitary, and the 04 Firefight map. All are multiplayer re-imagined versions of classic Halo maps.

The Playlists for the maps will get hot on November 14th, which is one day prior to the anniversary of 10 years of Halo. There are a few tweaks to the game play but nothing too major. Purchasing just the map pack or the entire Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary edition will have a lot to do with how much a Halo fan you are, and if you played it the first time around. If you didn’t play it the first time around, we have to recommend it as an experience that you should not miss.
