GTA 5 release in 2012 isn’t for sure

Written by David Stellmack

Might actually not arrive till 2013

Take-Two claims that the release date for Grand Theft Auto 5 is yet to be determined and a release time frame isn’t even yet close to being confirmed. While many believe that the target is a release before the end of the company’s 2013 fiscal year (which annually ends on March 31st)), but that is far from certain.

Take-Two might be plotting a release that could take place before or right around E3’s June time frame. The benefits would be huge, according to analysts that we spoke with. The company still has said little about the specifics of the game, other than it will be set on the west coast.

Well, at least we have Saints Row the Third to entertain us with until this comes out.

One thing is for sure - it will arrive half a year before next-gen consoles, and we will have to wait 3-4 years for the first next-gen GTA. Sound familiar?
