Despite the developers at Avalanche Studios saying nothing more than they would like to work on the Just Cause franchise again, rumors are circulating that they have already been hard at work on Just Cause 3.

Speculation about a third installment of Just Cause has been rumored for a long time. What we are hearing is that we should expect an announcement at E3 with the game arriving in late 2012, if our sources are accurate.

Most recently, the developer released Renegade Ops, a military co-op shooter for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms. Just Cause 2 was successful, but perhaps was a little overshadowed by some of the other titles released at the same time. Still, we surely would like to see another installment in the series.
