Google confirms, Android 4 will hit tablets

Written by Fuad Abazovic

But doesn’t say when

Google just got back to us about the future of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on tablets.

They say Android 4.0 should appear in tablets quite soon and rumour has it that some tablets are already in the pipeline.

"In the video from the event we talk about how Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) is the release that brings one OS that works well across both tablet and phone - so yes, it will work on tablets. We'll be releasing Android 4.0
soon and open-sourcing it (haven't shared a timeline for this.)," said Google.

We won't be adding much to it, we will just stick to the official statement. Android 4.0 is coming to laptops soon and open source lovers will have a chance to make some decent mods.
