Battlefield 3 is pirated

Written by Nick Farell

Made its way to torrent sites before release

DICE’s highly anticipated PC version of Battlefield 3 has appeared on torrent sites which Fudzilla staff never, ever visit.

The download is 9.96GB in size and is a fully playable version of the shooter's single player campaign. So far we could not find reports of console versions being leaked and the pirated copies don't allow access the game's multiplayer second as that requires a valid Origin account. Battlefield 3 is set to launch for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 25 in the US and October 28 across Europe.

DICE has already moved to make the leak seem pretty irrelevant by showing off nine multiplayer maps that will ship with Battlefield 3 at launch. On the PC, the game will handle up to 64 players and will take advantage of the latest computer hardware with support for DirectX 11 and 64-bit processors. It looks like the specs are going to be quite high so some people might need to nag for a new PC.

I'll get my new PC as soon as Intel comes out with the Ivy Bridge!!! I'll either get an AMD GPU like I have now or I may check out Nvidea, But more likely I'l go bang for buck like last time which will be AMD. Cant wait!!

If I wasn't so busy playing the games I'd legitimately bought in between life and work, I can't say I wouldn't be tempted! Bring on Mirror's Edge 2 on Frostbite 2! 8)

Although I absolutely do NOT pirate, I envy those who pirate this game because their copy won't be stringed up by Origin.

1-2 months before release would be something special and worth the news, couple days is bsns as usual.

1st crysis 2 now BF3, ok I'm starting to think EA is at fault here.

This is nothing new, PC gamers that know how important it is to purchase this game simply already have preordered it months ago.

Even pirates are asked to support companies sometimes! They know they simply can't always pirate!

If it wasent pirated now that would be news not this, this happens to every game, sadly.

Nice now people can get the single player campaign out of the way before the full game is released. Thanks EA!

You gotta ask:

Where did the original copy come from?

Who at EA/Dice leaked it out?

And why?

Its so close before release, it could be that somebody opened a retail box and made image of the dvds...

Btw, I did a lil research and cant find anything about a crack, so the game isnt playable yet >.>
