The gap that was said to exist between Microsoft’s Forza 4 and Sony’s Gran Turismo is now apparently non-existent, as reviews for the upcoming release of Forza Motorsport 4 are turning up. The scores are high, with scores of 9 or 90 to be common from many reviewers.

Most reviews that we have read indicate that Forza 4 is a must buy for racing fans. The news has to be exciting for developer Turn-10 and publisher Microsoft, as the game speeds into release in North America on Tuesday October 11th and in Europe on Friday October 14th.

Word has it that the Limited Edition version of Forza 4 is already sold out at most of the large retailers, with only the standard edition still available for pre-order.  Retailers that we spoke with indicate to us that this is the best pre-order numbers that they have seen for a racing title, and they are expecting strong sales for the title.
