Diablo 3 pushed back for early 2012

Needs time to be tweaked
Although it was initially expected to show up by the end of the year, Blizzard has now officially announced that Diablo 3 will be pushed back to early 2012. As you already know, beta testing has been underway since September 20.

The delay doesn't come as a surprise if you consider that the first impressions of beta testers weren't all that good. The game looks good but according to those that had a chance to try the beta out, it still needs a lot of tweaking. Blizzard will also extend the beta testing and add more testers.

Blizzard didn't give any specific date and current official schedule is early 2012. Mike Morhaime, CEO and Cofounder of of Blizzard Entertainment add that the beta testing is going very well and despite the temptation to launch as soon as possible, they don't want to waste those many years developing Diablo III and release a game that is "almost ready".

You can check out the offical press release here.

Well, if Blizzard knows one thing, it's knowing when a product is ready to be released to their public. Luckily there's a lot of good games coming out soon to fill the void.

I would have to agree, at the very least, give us the Graphical Masterpiece Skyrim to buy some time. I am thinking of modding my case to reflect DIABLO III, but now that it's coming in 2012  We shall see...

Sad, and I was looking forwards to this game at one point in time, guess the testers said it all....it sucks...

What? The auction house? That's optional. More importantly, it would STILL EXIST, only it would exist as a sketchy black market. Blizzards just trying to make it mainstream so it's safer, easier, and they take a little of the cut for their services. Did you even read that article and figure out what the service actually is before moaning?

Edit your title to say "Needs time to be tweaked" remove the "d" in time O.K.

Can't wait to see Diablo III in action...I am going to pay for the game once then play it as much as I like. If there is a monthly fee or any other nonesense FEE, then I am not buying it period.....

I'm sorry to say this, but the last great game I played from Blizzard was WoW. I very much liked the original one and I found the second expansion alright, but then... I just started to lose interest for some reason, don't know why.

I liked SC2 and it was good, but for some reason I just didn't get that hooked up on it like I did with the first SC.

I loved the first Diablo, I liked the second one and I feared they will screw up the third one. I wish they would make this into a great game, but something tells me it will be just a good game, not as memorable as previous ones.
