AMD FX parts coming October 12

Written by

Cheaper than expected
AMD’s FX series processors are scheduled to launch in mid October and AMD seems keen take Intel on in the value department.

According to Donanimhaber, the flagship FX-8150 will end up with a $245 price tag, somewhat lower than expected. The same goes for the FX-8120 and FX-6100, priced at $205 and $175. All things considered, the prices are pretty low and all three of them sound like a pretty good deal.

This basically means AMD will position the FX-8150 against Intel’s Core i7 2600K, hence it is safe to assume that performance will be on par. However, AMD has a tradition of offering somewhat better value for money, so the FX-8150 could end up a bit quicker.

hahahaha, you are entertaining, i pity you for taking the pain of making all the fake ids just because you think thumbs up and down is so important. Seriously,if i knew a word better than "moron" to address you, i would have gladly used it.

But hey, don't mind me, i am all enjoying this because i come here just to make my day better and you are just helping me. Thanks Trolls, without you Fuad would not been a place (heaven) that i would have liked

Im looking forward to testing a bulldozer when they finally hits the shelves, coming from a intel 1366 it made more sense to switch to AMD for IOMMU than to find a Intel board which had this feature.

To build an Intel system now cost considerably more than an AMD system and that means everything to me. All the new tech at a fraction of the price.

Do i really care if my friend on an Intel system can rar a file quicker than me? No. Im still gonna frag seven shades of shit outta him in multiplayer and all that money he spent on his new system is gonna mean nothing when its out of date and no1 gives a [censored].

Instead of trolling like some social misfit try adding some educational comments.

So sad...Even before launch, the FX Series is alresdy a "budget" CPU.

The failure of Bulldozer to exceed Intel performance must explain the dismissal of AMD's previous CEO. That's how it works in the corporate environment.
