Battlefield 3 Open Beta starts 29th

Written by David Stellmack

Beta map selected is “Operation Metro”
Those waiting for the Battlefield 3 Open Beta have gotten one step closer, as DICE has confirmed that the Open Beta will start September 29th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The selected map will be “Operation Metro” and the game mode will be “Rush” mode. It is currently unclear how long the beta will actually run.

Those lucky peeps who elected to order their copy from EA’s Origin download service and console players who pre-ordered Medal of Honor Limited Edition last year will be able to download and start playing the beta on September 27th.

Battlefield 3 itself is still scheduled for release on October 25th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms.
