Two A4 series SKUs

European retailers/e-tailers have started to list two new AMD A4-series APUs, the A4-3400 and A4-3300. Although these are not yet available we now have some prices and some shops claim that it will be available in two to three weeks.

The A4-3400 and the A4-3300 are pretty much the same except for the clocks for both the CPU and the GPU part of the APU. The A4-3400 is clocked at 2.7GHz while the A4-3300 works at 2.5GHz. Both of these dual-core APUs feature 2x512kB of L2 cache, same Radeon HD 6410D graphics part with 240 stream processors. As noted, the GPU part on the A4-3400 is clocked at 600MHz while the GPU part on the slower A4-3300 is clocked at 433MHz.

Both APUs also have the same 65W TDP and support dual-channel DDR3-1600 memory. As noted, some retailers/e-tailers are claiming availability in two to three weeks and the current lowest price in Germany is set at €66,28 for the A4-3400 and €62,50 for the A4-3300.

Paired up with a cheap A55 motherboard, these APUs might easily end up to be the best value option for most consumers.
