Amazon plans to aggressively enter the tablet market starting in October and analysts believe the outfit could sell as many as five million tablets by year’s end.

The outfit plans to introduce a 7-inch tablet sometime in October and the toy will be manufactured by Quanta Computer. According to Digitimes, Foxconn landed a contract to produce Amazon’s 10.1-inch tablet and it should enter mass production in the first quarter of 2012.

Foxconn already produces Amazon’s highly successful Kindle e-book reader, which is not dog-proof as one Fudzilla staffer found out a few weeks back.
