New Kinect Star Wars title pushed to 2012

Written by David Stellmack

R2D2 Xbox 360 release also postponed
The Kinect Star Wars title that everyone has been waiting for will apparently no longer make the holiday release that was anticipated for late this year. Instead, it is expected that Microsoft and Lucas Arts will officially announce that the title has been pushed till some time in 2012.

In addition to the software, the hardware will also not be released this holiday season as expected. Microsoft has yet to confirm that this is the case, but it is expected that the R2D2 Xbox 360 package that is bundled with the Gold C3PO controller and white Kinect will also be on the shelves this holiday season.

According to what we have been able to uncover, the developers simply need more time and it is as simple as that. A new release date should be announced soon, but in the meantime, we will have to cope with the fact that neither of these is going to make the release for this holiday season.
