 6x zoom meets compact Cyber-Shot

The new S800
packs an 8.1 megapixel Super HAD CCD and a high resolution 230k pixel 2,5" inch display in an elegant all-metal silver body.

Its new 6x Sony lens gives it the highest magnification of any Cyber-Shot series model. The camera is powered by 2 AA batteries, and comes with a NiMH battery pack. It has 54MB of internal memory, expandable via MS Duo or MS Duo PRO memory cards. Like all recent Sony models it features a high sensitivity ISO 1250 mode and a 30 fps movie mode with audio.

It will be available in Europe by the end of the month, and will be available for pre-order at Sony Style Europe. The prices have yet to be announced.
