Preparing four new mobile Core i7s

Intel's newest Celeron M model, the 32nm Celeron 787, is now officially a part of Intel's mobile lineup. In addition to this one, Intel is also preparing to roll out four new Core i7 mobile parts that should appear sometimes in Q4.

The new Celeron M will be available under Celeron 787 model name and we are talking about a single-core CPU with 1MB of L3 cache, 17W TDP part with a 1.3GHz core clock. The new Celeron 787 should replace the Penryn-based Celeron 763 and should be available for system integrators as of yesterday with a US $107 price tag (1k tray).

Of course, if this one isn't your cup of tea, you'll be glad to know that Intel is preparing to roll out four new Core i7 mobile parts, including three quad-core and single dual-core chip. The Core i7-2960XM Extreme Edition, Core i7-2860QM and Core i7-2760QM share the same quad-core design with eight threads. The high-end part, Core i7-2960XM Extreme Edition, will feature a 2.7GHz (3.7GHz Turbo), 8MB of L3 cache and a 55W TDP.

The Core i7-2760QM and the Core i7-2860QM also feature eight threads, same 45W TDP but a slightly different amount of cache as the 2760QM will feature 6MB while the Core i7-2860QM will happily roll out with 8MB of
L3 cache. The Core i7-2860QM ticks at 2.5GHz (Turbo at 3.6GHz) while the Core i7-2760QM has a slightly lower 2.4GHz (3.5GHz Turbo) clock.

The last, but not least, is the lone dual-core Core i7-2640M. This one features four threads, ticks at 2.8GHz (3.5GHz Turbo), has 4MB of L3 cache and the lowest 35W TDP. All four new mobile Core i7 models will include Intel's HD 3000 graphics clocked at 650MHz.

Unfortunately, the price of these new mobile Core i7 parts hasn't been detailed but we expect it to show up as we draw closer to the Q4 launch.
