Namco to hit us with Galaga again

Written by David Stellmack

Legions DX arrives on the 29th for XBLA
Namco Bandai did so well with Pac Man Championship Edition DX that they have elected to go to the well again and update Galaga Legions with a new DX edition. The new DX edition of Galaga is another entry in what Namco Bandai calls their “Namco Generations” series of updates for their classic titles.

Galaga Legions DX will provide more of everything to destroy when it arrives on Xbox Live Arcade on June 29th for 800 Microsoft Points, or $10, if you prefer. The PlayStation 3 version is a bit of a mystery at the moment, as Namco Bandai is not talking about a release date for that version yet. Sources tell us that we should expect a PlayStation 3 version, but we just are not sure when it will arrive.

Aero Cross seems to beat the odds on the favorite to be the next game in the Generations series. Sources tell us that Aero Cross likely will have an updated version of the arcade game Metro-Cross. We will have to wait and see where this all is going with the Generation releases.
