MacBook Air to get Sandy Bridge soon

by on18 May 2011

Availability expected next month
Apple’s uber-smug MacBook Air ultraportable notebooks will be refreshed with Intel’s new Sandy Bridge processors by the end of the month.

Digitimes claims hat shipments should start by the end of May, while availability is expected in June, or July for some smaller markets. Of course, Apple is not confirming or denying the reports.

In addition to new processors, the revamped Airs will also get Thunderbird support, putting them on a par with 2011 MacBook Pros in terms of connectivity.
