Gotham City Impostors is a shooter
The rumors of another Batman title in development were confirmed, as Warner Bros Interactive has announced that developer Monolith Productions is working on a multiplayer shooter set in the Batman universe.

The title will be called Gotham City Impostors, and it is a highly customizable multiplayer team game where you play on Team Bats or Team Jokers. Players will be able to create their own characters and costumes and then equip themselves with a number of homebrew gadgets and traditional weapons. The game play takes place in map locations inspired by the Batman series license.

The game will be a downloadable offering that is coming to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Store, and the PC. The release date has not yet been set, but sources tell us that it will arrive later this year.
