Microsoft E3 briefing to air live

Written by David Stellmack

Spike will carry it for U.S. viewers
Microsoft has confirmed that they will be airing their E3 briefing live on Spike TV for those in the U.S. Spike will be airing the briefing starting at 12:30 P.M. PST on Monday June 6th.

Many consider Microsoft’s briefing at E3 to be very pivotal for the company this year. Last year, many Xbox 360 fans felt the company had too much of an emphasis on Kinect and not enough on the hard core gaming elements that the vast majority of Xbox 360 gamers are into. This year, Microsoft has to contend with Nintendo’s announcement of their new console, as well as Sony’s filling in more of the blanks on their next generation portable.

Sources tell us that while the company might have a trick or two up its sleeve this year for its E3 briefing, it is expected that a large number of Kinect titles will be announced as well some other new more traditional titles. Sources tell us that we should expect Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports 2, and some hardcore titles for Kinect. We are also hearing some vague rumors of an open world Forza driving title to be announced.

In about three weeks we will get a look at Microsoft has to offer, and expect the rumor mill to be in full effect until then.
