Entry-level PSU with 80Plus certification

Cooler Master has added yet another model to its GX-line of power supplies, the GX 450W. Featuring a single 12V rail design, the new PSU should provide enough juice for even some mid-range systems.

As noted, the new GX 450W features a single 12V rail pumping out 35 Amps and is compliant wiht the ATX 12V V2.31 standard. It has the 80Plus certification with up 85 percent efficiency, double-layer EMI filter, active PFC, huge bulk capcitor, efficient transformer for reduced 5Vsb loss, has a bleow 0.5W power usage in standby mode, and protection features, including over-voltage, under-voltage and others.

The unit is cooled by a bottom placed 120mm PWM fan and is backed by a 5 year warranty. The new GX 450W PSU should be available in Europe sometimes in April and the price should be around €55.
