Dell's XPS M1730, which was limited to the 8700M GT option until now, finally gets the new 8800M GTX in SLI mode.

The new XPS M1730 packed with 8800M GTX SLI is now able to reach a score of 13,500 in 3DMark06, which is almost a 50 percent higher result than it gets when paired with 8700M GT in SLI mode. The Geforce 8800M GTX SLI is available in the U.S., while Europe and other countries should get it soon.

The Nvidia SLI 8800M GTX with 1GB of GDDR3 memory adds $700 USD when compared to the 8700M GT SLI option with 512MB of GDDR3 memory. You can find Dell's XPS M1730 here.
