Blizzard has now confirmed to a number of outlets that the next chapter in the Starcraft 2 franchise (known as the Heart of the Swarm) is looking like it is unlikely that it will make a 2011 release date, despite the team “pounding away” to make it happen.
While Blizzard has confirmed that they are going as “fast as we possibly can,” it is looking more like an early 2012 release. While the company does not want to eliminate all hope of a 2011 release, it just seems unlikely at this point.
Rest assured though that they want to get it out the door as soon as they can.
