AMD to showcase Bulldozer at CeBit

Written by Fuad Abazovic

Appears to be on track
AMD is planning to showcase its new Bulldozer architecture at CeBit in less than a month's time.

Mind you, AMD has a lot riding on the Bulldozer, as it is a completely new architecture, the first in quite a few years for AMD. We are still not sure whether AMD will show off the new part to the general public or just a select few partners and hacks.

The module-based Bulldozer architecture should deliver impressive performance and more flexibility than AMD's current cores. According to AMD, the new processors should outpace its current six-core Thuban parts by about 50 percent. This would put the Bulldozer on a par with Intel's high-end Gulftowns.

AMD is also promising to deliver next generation Turbo technology on Bulldozer server parts. Dubbed Turbo Core Dynamic Acceleration, the new technology should allow intelligent automatic overclocking on all cores, greatly improving performance over its current Turbo Core technology.

In case you forgot, this year's CeBit takes place in Hannover between March 1 and 5. Clearly it will be quite an eventful show for AMD, with new CPUs, Fusion APUs and the Antilles dual-GPU graphics card.

so you already have the leaked BD benchmarks to justify this claim. No I don't think so...

It would be master class to realease Buldozer just before or on par with shittybridge...

There must be a lot of people disappointed with the genious loss from intel who didn´t think twice choosing AMD.

For goodness sakes, are we going to start the flame Wars again. Give it a rest… It’s only logical Bulldozer will stay on par with Intel’s future processors in terms of Price/Performance. If not then why is either company in business today? Synthetic benchmarks are not everything. Though they do serve a purpose, one should not take its results literal… It all has to do with how well do these new CPU’s perform under Real World Gaming and Real World Multi-Media etc… I can’t wait to see Bulldozer in store shelves or should I say in my PC…

+1.... I bet if if this article were about nvidia or intel these and fan boys would be bashing it.

But oh god no... when someone asks for numbers and proof he gets 41 thumbs downs and frowned at.

Shitty and fan boys.. I just say they can't afford intel and nvidia so they spite the people who can.

Get lives please. ..

The issue wasn't that he asked for numbers or proof. The issue was he either didn't read the word "SHOULD" or lacked sufficient English skills to understand what that word does to the sentence. If your going to correct someone, at least understand what your correcting.

only a fan-boy from the opposing team could get this worked up about it.
specially considering it was just a comprehension mistake in the first place.

Yeah, you're right. It's you who should be getting thumbed down to oblivion for looking down upon people who can't afford expensive/overpriced hardware. Go buy a life, please.
