LG confirms Optimus 2X launch date

Written by Fuad Abazovic

February in EU markets
Yesterday we reported that a Swedish retailer was taking preorders for LG's Optimus 2X at €549 a pop, but it appears that it will take some time before we see the new dual-core smartphone in retail.

LG was kind enough to tell us that the €549 price is not official yet, but they have also announced that Optimus 2X should start shipping sometime in February.

While some eager consumers might not be too happy with the launch date, at least there is a chance the new handset will end up somewhat cheaper than previously reported.
