Infinity Blade for iPhone is all about eye candy

Dethrones RageHD as the best looking iPhone game

Just weeks after Carmack’s id introduced RageHD, a stunning looking FPS for the iOS platform, Epic Games has unveiled Infinity Blade, an action RPG that delivers even better graphics.

The game is based on the Unreal Engine 3 and it’s based in some sort of medieval fantasy world, if you’re into that sort of thing, which we are not. Gunpowder was invented for a reason.

Anyhow the game is truly stunning to behold. The atmosphere and modeling are second to none and the textures are beautifully detailed. Seeing such graphics on a 1GHz mobile phone is impressive and quite surprising.

The game costs $5.99, so it’s rather good value for money, especially in the Apple universe. It’s compatible with the iPhone 4 and the iPad, as well as the iPhone 3GS and 3G, although we’re really not sure it can really deliver the goods on older platforms.

You can check it out on iTunes, here.
