15.6-incher with Intel Pentium dual-core
Newegg.com has posted its Delightful December deals and one of the things that caught our attention is Acer's 15.6-inch Aspire AS5742Z-4695 notebook that now sells for US $399.99.

This price gets you a decent 15.6-incher with Intel's P6100 Pentium dual-core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz and paired up with Intel's HM55 chipset, 4GB of memory and 320GB of HDD. This 32nm Arrandale dual-core CPU has 2x256KB of L2 cache and 3MB of shared L3 cache might not be the best that you can get, but at US $399.99 it might be a really nice catch.

The rest of the specs include integrated Intel graphics, Gigabit LAN and 802.11bgn WiFi, 1.3M webcam, three USB ports, HDMI and D-Sub outputs, DVD Super Multi optical drive, 4GB (2x2GB) of DDR3-1066 memory, multi-gesture touchpad and most importantly a 6-cell 4400mAh battery that should keep it running for around 3.5 hours, according to Newegg.

The screen is 15.6-inch 1366x768 screen with Acer's CineCrystal Technology that won't win any prizes, as it is the case with the design but all of it can be overlooked considering the price tag. The notebook comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

You can find it here.
