ATI Mobility HD 5470 and Phenom II P840 for €699

MSI has rolled out yet another notebook that will be a part of its F-series, the FX610. Packing quite a punch under its hood, this 15.6-incher looks like a good deal.

According to our info, MSI's FX610 will be available in two versions, both based on AMD RS880M+SB710 chipset and both with DirectX 11 capable ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5470 with 1GB of DDR3 memory. Both versions will feature 4GB of memory, 15.6-inch 1366x768 LED backlit screen, 802.11bgn WiFi, HD Webcam, integrated "stereo theater class speakers" with THX TruStudio Pro, HDMI, VGA, 3x USB 2.0, eSATA, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 6-cell battery.

Both notebooks weigh 2.4 kg and feature MSI's Cinema Pro, Turbo Drive Engine, Eco Engine technologies, multi-touch touchpad, chiclet keyboard and both are running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

The difference between these two is the CPU choice and the HDD size, as the MSI FX610-P8447W7P SKU features AMD's Phenom II Triple-core P840 CPU and 500GB of HDD space while the MSI FX610-P3443W7P features AMD's Athlon II dual-core P340 and 320GB of HDD space.

The price is also a bit different as the dual-core Athlon II version has the €599 price tag while the Phenom II one will retail at €699. Both should already be available.
