$650 million since launch
Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops is doing more than well and according to the first sales figures, the new title has managed to surpass CoD: Modern Warfare by 18 percent in the first week of sales.

The game raked in more than $650 million, compared to Modern Warfare’s $550 million. Moreover, analysts are expecting to see increasingly strong sales towards the end of the year and it is believed that the new game could even sell 20 million copies by New Year’s.

Blacks Ops got great reviews and its new multiplayer more is often cited as one of its best features. However, not everything is rosy for Activision. The game has been plagued with numerous bugs, but they obviously failed to make a dent on the sales.
