Samsung has used MacWorld 2008 to announce two new LCD displays in its SyncMaster series, 25.5-inch 2693HM and 24-inch 2493HM. Both of these monitors feature HDMI ports and built-in speakers.

The 25.5-inch 2693HM has a maximum resolution of 1920x1200, 5ms GTG response time, contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a 160 degree viewing angle. The smaller one has same resolution, response time and the same degree angle, but comes with 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Both of them come with fa our-way adjustable stand with pivot capabilities. In addition to the HDMI port, both of them also come with DVI.

The 24-inch 2493HM will carry a price tag of $599 USD, while the slightly bigger 2693HM should sell for $699 USD. Both of them come with a 3-year warranty.
