Transcend launches new SSDs

2.5" and ExpressCard/34


Transcend has launched several new solid state drives in 2.5" and ExpressCard/34 form factors. The new drives feature a lightweight case, capacities of up to 32GB and low power consumption.

The company claims write speeds of up to 30MB per second for the fastest versions, and a latency of under 1mn. The drives also have built in ECC, ensuring reliable data transfers.

All drives come with a two-year warranty and Transcend claims to have 64GB and larger drives in the works.
