iPad already out of date

New one on the way
As we have predicted Steve Jobs is planning to ditch the first model of the iPad earlier than expected. Normally Apple changes its models once a year to make sure that people regularly pay it large sums of money to stay up to date.

However according to AppleInsider, Jobs has seen the competition he is going to get from Android tablets and wants to head them off at the pass. This means releasing a version of the tablet that has all the things that the Android machines have.

A version of the tablet device with a built-in video camera and support for the new FaceTime video conferencing standard has already progressed to the advanced testing stages. Apparently there is a plan to get the new tablet out by Christmas.

It seems that even Apple is a bit bemused by the iPad as it has done very well without having a reason to exist yet.
