With the launch of Halo: Reach right around the corner, Microsoft is making sure that Xbox 360 owners know that Halo: Reach launch is right around the corner by counting off the days right on your Xbox 360 dashboard.

With almost two weeks till launch, Microsoft will be counting it down with something new each day in what they are calling Halo: Reach Invasion Week. The kick off was today, with a 240 point Premium Halo: Reach theme that is quite snazzy. Actually, it is one of the better looking premium themes that we have seen in some time.

Each day will feature something different with discounts, video previews, chances to play with Bungie developers, and a number of surprises, with some of them being free. A free Halo: Reach Invasion theme is also said to be in the pipeline, as well.

All this is capped off with the release of Halo: Reach on September 14th and then a free Xbox Gold Weekend that will run from September 17th to September 20th for those Silver members who have not upgraded to Gold status yet. Microsoft is ramping up the Halo buzz and you can expect some surprises, as well.
