Black Ops on PC will offer Mod Tools

by on25 August 2010

Will be improving the server situation on PC
Treyarch says that with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PC that mod tools will be offered. While no one is exactly saying how they will work or when they will arrive, they want to improve the game play and the dissatisfaction of the PC community with the last COD release.

Details are very vague at the moment, but it does appear that Treyarch is at least trying to repair some of the damage that Modern Warfare 2 did to the Call of Duty community on the PC. In addition, Treyarch says that they are committed to improving the server situation, but again they have not provided any details on how they might do this.

The best news for PC players is that Treyarch appears to be at least making an effort; but right now they are so focused on finishing the game and getting ready for its release that they have little time for anything else. We suspect that the mod tools and server improvements will not arrive till after the game is released and the developer can work on addressing these goals.
