MSI 13-incher goes for €349

Written by Fudzilla staff

Deal of the Day: If you happen to live in Germany
We’ve come across a rather tempting listing by a German e-tailer. Notebooksektor is selling an MSI EX300 13-inch laptop for just €349.

Mind you, there is a very good reason why the EX300 is selling for peanuts. It’s an old, EOL’d model launched in late 2008. However, looking at the spec it still looks like a stunningly good deal.

It’s powered by a Core 2 Duo P8400 at 2.26GHz and it even packs discrete Radeon HD 3450 graphics with 256MB of memory. Speaking of memory, it ships with a total of 3GB of RAM. It has 320GB of storage, DVD burner, 3 USBs, Firewire, HDMI and b/g/n wireless. However, the 1,280x800 13-inch glare screen is a sign of its age, as nearly all new 13-inch laptops feature 16:9 screens in 1366x768.

Although it’s not as thin as most new 13-inchers, the EX300 weighs 1.9kg, which is pretty good, as event CULV thin-and-lights weigh between 1.5 and 1.8kg. As for the price, it launched at €999 and it sold at €699 before it was phased out a few months ago. So, although it's quite old, at €349 it’s nothing short of a bargain. This is practically netbook money.

You can get it here while stocks last, and if you do, you owe us a drink.
