Worms: Reloaded to bring back 2D

Written by Nedim Hadzic

Coming on 26th of August
Anyone familiar with Worms knows that the game is still played online, and we’re not talking about 3D version of the game – we’re talking about the actual 2D versions - Worms Armageddon, World Party, etc. The online community singlehandedly (multiplehandedly just sounds bad) evolved the game into much more than even its creators planned, and now it is set to get another installment in 2D. Yup, you heard it right – 2D.

There will be 65 single-player missions in two flavors – Warzone and Normal difficulty levels. The new weapons are Super Punk Buster, Poison Strike, Worship, Sentry Gun, Electromagnet and Buffalo of Lies, which means that the creator hasn’t lost the thread that made this game infinitely fun.

The modes invented mostly by the online community will be included in the official game modes, and in general the game promises to be better than ever.

So, Worms: Reloaded is set to hit PCs on 26th of August, and will be priced at £17.99 on Steam.
