360 & PS3 likely to get new NBA Jam title

Written by David Stellmack

Ratings board suggests this is the case
The news that NBA Jam (from way back in 1993) was going to be re-invented was big news. Although the initial announcement claimed that the title would only be coming to the Wii, the news still was a big deal, as many were eager to get in the way back machine and travel back to play NBA Jam once again.

Despite all the asking that everyone was putting the PR types at EA Sports through, they would only confirm the release of a Wii version of the NBA Jam remake. Still, it is obvious that significant interest was plentiful for the game to also be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.

News has reached us by way of the American and German ratings boards that apparently EA Sports does at least have the intention for release the NBA Jam re-make on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. While no one knows when this release might happen, it does seem that it is in the works, despite EA assertions that they know anything about it. We suspect that the ratings boards are accurate, but only EA knows when they might plan to get the 360 and PS3 versions out the door.
