According to Digitimes, Acer is working on two ARM-based tablets and they are expected to launch in the fourth quarter.
Acer plans to offer two models in 7- and 10-inch form factors and both should run Android 2.2. It appears that Acer will still continue to produce e-book readers, so the tablets should be aimed at a somewhat more demanding market.
The outfit is reportedly in negotiations with mobile carriers in an effort to offer the new tablets with tempting data plans.
