12.1-incher with AMD Athlon II Neo

Seen back in May during AMD's Vision event at the Cannes Film Festival, MSI has now officially announced its 12.1-inch Wind12 U250 notebook based on AMD's Athlon II Neo CPU and integrated Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics.

Although we still don't know the price or the availability date, MSI was kind enough to spill the beans and reveal the full spec, so we now know that this one is based on AMD's RS880M+SB820M chipset and features a 1.3GHz clocked Athlon II Neo K325 dual-core CPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory in two slots, Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics and a 12.1-inch LED-backlit 1366x768 glare screen.

The full dimensions of the MSI Wind12 U250 are 297x190x24-31mm (WxDxH) and it weighs 1.3kg. It features, what MSI calls, an EDS (Ergonomic De-stress) keyboard, which has a 51 percent larger surface area, a 3 or 6-cell battery, Gigabit LAN, up to 500GB of HDD space, 802.11bng WiFi, card reader, optional Bluetooth, 1.3M webcam, three USB 2.0 ports, and D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

We will keep or eyes open for the price or the availability date.
