Still has room for tweaking

Although it has been rumoured that Nintendo's 3DS might come sooner, it appears that we won't see it in stores before the end of March 2011. Speaking to IndustryGamers, head of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Aime stated that Nintendo plans to release 3DS in all major markets, Japan, the USA and Europe, by March 31st 2011.

The mentioned date isn't a coincidence as this is actually a the end of Nintendo's fiscal year and the actual purpose of this date is quite clear due to recent reports of declining sales of the DSi and the Wii in recent quarters.

Fils-Aime also noted that Nintendo 3DS still isn't finallized and it appears that Nintendo left some engineering breathing space in order to address the feedback recieved from E3 hands-on. Of course, drastic changes are out of the question, but we guess that we will see some minor changes as we draw closer to March 2011.
