Kojima to show something new at TGS

by on21 June 2010

Will be very big exclusive for PS3

Hideo Kojima, the creative mind behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise, apparently has something new that just was not ready in time to show off at E3. Instead, Kojima’s new creation will be shown at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

The rumored new title that will be revealed to the public at TGS in September will be big, according to the whispers that we are hearing. The game will, of course, be a PlayStation 3 exclusive according to our sources, which is no real surprise given the developer’s long-standing relationship with Sony.

From what we have been able to find out, while Kojima would have preferred to show the new project at E3 he told his bosses that the title needed more time to ensure that it was ready. At first, the rumors of a new title might have suggested that it could be “Zone of the Enders 3”; but our sources tell us that this project continues to be on the back burner in favor of this new project, which Kojima apparently is more passionate about at the moment.

Beyond the suggestions that the project could be the “taboo” project that he has mentioned before, nothing seems to be floating around as to what it could be. The continued speculation on what the project will be is likely to continue till September, when and if it is actually revealed for the first time.
