About time that something came out

While Apple
has been orchestrating its iPad iCon, it seems that it has been ignoring its traditional Macbooks.

As a result there are a lot of rumours bouncing around the industry which claims that Jobs' Mob is finally about to replace its ailing MacBook Pro range. Most of the rumours focus on the likely story that MacBook Pros are due to be updated with new mobile Core i5 and/or Core i7 processors.

In this Apple is way behind HP, Toshiba, Dell, and Sony have already moved en masse to new Intel chips, which came out in January. However the emergence of part numbers being leaked in the various blogs may indicate the update will happen sooner rather than later.

9to5Mac speculates that the updates are 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros. Best Buy is showing no stock for certain MacBook Pro 15.4-inch models, both online and in-store at many locations. This is normal if there is going to be an imminent MacBook update.
