Starts at US $309.99

MSI's Pinetrail based Wind U135 netbook has finally shown its face in the USA and can be found available at Amazon.com and Newegg.com. This 10-incher features Intel's Atom N450 CPU, Intel's NM10 chipset with GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB of memory, and either a 160GB or a 250GB hard drive.

The new Wind U135 will be available in four colours, Wind Dancer Black, Refined Silver, Trendy Blue and Cherry Red. The rest of the features includes a chiclet keyboard, a "larger" 6.5cm touchpad and a Color Film Print which should leave less fingerprints on the netbook.

Wind U135 has the 10-inch LED backlit glare screen has a 1024x600 resolution and it also comes with 802.11bgn WiFi, 1.3M webcam, card reader, either a 3-cell or 6-cell battery and Microsoft Windows 7 Starter for OS. It features three USB ports, LAN and D-sub output.

It will be available with either a 3 or 6-cell battery and MSI claims that it can work up to 7,5 hours with a 6-cell version. The rumoured price was around US $350 and it looks like MSI managed to pull it down to US $309.99 for the 160GB version and US$ 329.99 for the 250GB one.

Amazon listings are a tad bit more expensive so back there you have to pay around US $316.99 for the black one with a 160GB drive while the blue, red and silver ones are selling for US $324.99.

You can find the Newegg listing here while Amazon listings can be found here.
