11.6-incher for €479

We stumbled upon a listing of Point of View's Mobii ULV Slimline netbook listing and this one should be available over at Alternate.de in next few days with a €479 price tag.

Mobii ULV looks quite plain but features Intel's SU2300 CPU working at 1.2GHz with 1MB of L2 cache rather than the SU3500, which we're more used to seeing. The rest of the specs include up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, Intel's GMA 4500MHD graphics, 250GB hard drive, 10/100 LAN, 802.11bgn WiFi, 1.3M webcam, card reader, HDMI and D-Sub outputs and three USB 2.0 ports.

It measures 290 x 198.5 x 26.8 mm, which is quite nice and the entire system weighs 1.4kg with the battery. Unfortunately, the Mobii ULV comes with a 4-cell 4600mAh battery which is kinda disappointing.

It comes with a non-glare 11.6-inch screen with 1366x768 resolution and comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. We must admit we liked the fact that the device comes with a non-glare screen, and users frequently on the move will surely know how to appreciate that.

Of course, it's well worth noting that Point of View faces stiff competition in this market segment, where Acer's Timeline is pretty much the king of the hill. Its Timeline series is currently selling for around €490 and it can be found for as low as €450 if you are lucky enough to find it available, but features a faster Core 2 Solo SU3500 CPU working at 1.4GHz with 3MB of L2 cache and comes with a 6-cell battery.

You can find the Mobii ULV Slimline listed here.
