In case you like smudging grease across your screen, Acer has prepared
a rather interesting convertible tablet based on its Timeline CULV-book
series.
The Timeline 1820T is an 11.6-inch notebook powered by a Core 2 Solo
SU3500, much like the plain 1810T. Acer didn't reinvent the Timeline to
add a touchscreen, it merely redesigned the back of the chassis and
added a rotating screen hinge.
So, the rest of the chassis is pretty much what you'd expect from the
1810T series, no surprises on the exterior or interior. It packs the
same hardware and the same port layout.
The big difference is the weight, as the prosthetic hinge added 300g of
lard to the weight. There is still no word on a possible launch date or
price, but we're guessing it will ship in late October.
