The new TouchNote T1028X

Gigabyte has apparently quietly updated its TouchNote line of tablet netbooks with a new 10.1-inch TouchNote T1028X.

The new TouchNote features a LED-backlit touchscreen with a 1366x768 resolution, Intel's Atom N280 CPU working at 1.66GHz, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive and of course Intel's GMA 950 integrated graphics. The rest of the features include integrated 10/100 LAN, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, ExpressCard slot and a 6-cell battery.

This tablet netbook weighs 1.48kg and measures 265 x 195 x 38.5mm. It runs on Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system and has an optional HSDPA.

As was the case with previously released Touchnote tablets, this one is plagued by a rather high price tag as well. It is currently listed and apparently in stock on a Hungarian e-tail site with a €622.13 (US $877.70) price tag.
